We’re back!

We had a great time with everyone who came to the wedding. We also had a blast on vacation. I’m still working on our pictures, but the professional has his stuff together.

Final Countdown

On the wedding pages, the little count down timer guy says “2 days.” I’m thinking its a little off. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday…I think that’s at least three. But its still really close, isn’t it?

Here’s the conversation Laura and I have had at least once a week for the last few months:

LAURA: Are you excited?

ME: Excited about what?

Laura LOVES this game. Who isn’t excited about a mountain-top party with 90 of your closest friends and family?

UPDATE: I’ve messed with the countdown timer script and now its super accurate.

They will come.

We got our first two replies back today in the mail. There will officially be 4 other people at the wedding with us. WOOO HOOO!

Three more things and we’re all caught up

Nicole graduated.

George moved.

We invited.

What have you been up to?

Brides & Bikes

20070619_0890I went to see my family for the weekend. My sister threw me a fabulous shower and I saw a whole lot of good people that I haven’t seen for years.

Later on in the weekend, my dad took me for my first motorcycle ride. We went to the same strech of road in the pine barrens where he took me to learn how to drive a stick. Very cool. We also checked out the patch of pine barrens that recently burned down. The green is already starting to pop up new out of the ground. That is amazing.

10 Minutes Late

“Ten minutes late” turned out to be the theme for the day – and I didn’t even have to go to work!

It started with the gym. Class started at 9:30. I didn’t really want to go. But I went. I was running a few minutes late, but sometimes class starts a few minutes late. So when I got there, I drove by the window twice to see if I could see if they started yet. This made me more late. It didn’t look like anyone was in there, but I figured if I made the effort to get dressed and leave and drive around the parking lot twice, I should go in and at least see if there really was a class I was missing or not. So I went in. The instructor told me I was 10 minutes late, but no one was there, so no class.

L.A. Hybrid LiliesSince there was no class, I figured I had some extra time to kill. I went shopping at the garden center to see what they had. I found a few things, but apparently I took too long to decide. I got home and had about 10 minutes to get ready for my hair appointment. So I ended up getting there about 10 minutes late too. It didn’t seem like a big deal since the place wasn’t very busy, but it turned out that there was a woman who was supposed to go after me and she ended up leaving before getting her hair cut because she had to get back to work. Oops.

20070611_0006.JPGAfter a quick stop for a mini sushi lunch, I headed in to pick up our shower gift from Mom & Dad – a patio set. The pick up went smooth and easy as did the getting home, getting it out of the truck and the putting it together. The only problem was that I was about finished – just had to tighten the bolts on the table, about 10 minutes of work – when the skies opened up and the rains came down. If only I had started 10 minutes earlier.

Scouting Unicoi

20070428_0705.JPGToday we went and checked out all the picnic shelters at Unicoi. We’re thinking we’ll do the rehersal dinner there to make it super easy and super casual.

Happy Easter

In the spirit of the pending Easter Eggs hunts slated for Sunday morning, I’ve uploaded lots of “new” pictures. Instead of a handy dandy link, I’m going to let you roam through the gallery searching for them.

Happy Hunting!

Under Watch

CaughtGood News!

The dress is in. It was mildly annoying that the store called me at work on Thursday (where my voice mail clearly stated I would be out of the office until Monday) and said I had five days to pick up the dress, or else… Luckily, Nancy had time to make a lunchtime run for the dress and some well-deserved Pei Wei.

Now the dress is safe and sound under the 24-hour watch of a certain green friend of mine.

Thanks for the pics, Nancy!

I hope you used a pencil

We’re making some changes to the wedding plans, so hang on before you book those flights and hotel rooms…updates soon.
