America

I’ve been hearing all about this early voting business and I thought that sounded like a good idea. So I looked into it and found out the lines for the early voting are still over 2 hours long. So I applied for an absentee ballot instead. I simply faxed in my request on Friday and will sit and vote from the comfort of my home tonight…or tomorrow.

God Bless America, right?

Dear Internet,

I am going to bed early tonight.

I know. Not much of a post. But at least I called to say, “Goodnight,” right?

Love, Sharyn

Because Kelly Said So

I got a cowboy hat today because that was the most appropriate garb I could think of for attending the Bank of America 500 on Saturday Night.

For the record, since I suppose I will have to root for someone to turn left better than the others, I’m rooting for hometown boy Martin Truex. I don’t even think he’s in the hunt or the dash or the dart or whatever the kids call what is essentially the NASCAR playoffs, but I think I’ll be slightly more respected by fellow fans than if I spend the whole day looking for Ricky Bobby.

Then again, is that really the admiration I am looking for?

Wooo! I like to party!
