Dresses

About 2 weeks ago, Kathy asked me if I was ready to go look for dresses. Since I didn’t have any patricularly good reasons to say, “no” – other than the fact that I had no idea what I wanted – I said, “sure.” Yesterday was the day.

Sushi Night

Saturday night Laura & Kirk invited us over to join them on a Sushi Adventure. While snacking on some U-peel-em shrimps and a blooming onion we set to work on a sushi feast.

Jason patiently sliced up a cucumber and a daikon radish into thin thin strips. He drew the line at the avacado though and turned that over to Laura. I worked on the cream cheese while Kirk kept an eye on the rice. We also had some real, live – well, not quite live, but cloise – tuna to top off the experience.

Once all the prep work was done – and Nate got his dinner – we got to work on the actual sushi rolls. We made a total of four rolls – two with the plastic mold and two with the bamboo mat. I was pretty impressed with our handiwork.

Fourth of July

If you dont like pictures of fireworks, dont click on that picture.
We celebrated our first Fourth of July on the First of July by inviting everyone over to eat lots of food, play video games, and drink (if you were of age, of course).

The pictures don’t really tell the story – At least not without some background here in the words. You see, G made some wonderful summer delight that involved frozen Chik-Fil-A lemonade, homemade strawberry syrup and the more potent version of Smirnoff. As a result, my photo essay focused on the only two things that were able to hold my interest for more than 10 seconds: my friend Nate’s big round adorable noggin and colorful bursts of fire & light exploding in the night sky
